I bought these IKEA knives for about 15€ each about 8 years ago. That 8” chef knife is great and still one of my favorites. I don’t see anything on reddit about these knives, and there’s very little online at all.

When the plastic handle of my old IKEA knife fell apart after only 3 years, I decided to get a "proper knife" that would last much longer. After looking at >10 knifes, and ordering some, i settled on a $150 knife from a German brand, with 67 layers of Japanese knife steel (aka Damascus steel).

Certainty its VG10 and the Ikea looks pretty but the wood handles are going to corrode in HK humidity lol.
